If you can find satin or silk lined clothing that will help somewhat with matting after they wear clothes or sweaters. Always brush out right after taking off any clothing. You can use a little cornstarch sprinkled on mats to help them comb out easily...it really works, just use it before you get the coat wet with detangling spray.
