Question about re-homed dog Chuy has been with us for over a month now, and he has been such a great little dog. He walks on a loose leash, he's a dream to groom, totally housebroken and very sweet, loving, and loyal. The previous owners loved him very much but they decided to re-home him because of an unplanned upheaval in their work schedules. It wasn't uncommon for him to have to spend 60 hours alone, every week, in a laundry room, so they did what was best for him even though it was very painful.
Here is my question: I want to send them a Christmas card that includes pictures of him, and let them know how well he is doing. If you had to go through what they did, would you want to get such a card, or would it just be a painful reminder? I appreciate what they did in putting his best interests over their own feelings (and I feel very blessed to be the beneficiary), but I don't want to rub salt in the wound.
If you were in their place, what would you want?
