Looks normal. Now I just hope she doesn't swing back the other way!
Still, would like to know about the green beans or dulcolax, if anyone's used them.
And I'm in the market for a better dry food for her. *nods* Something grain-free, preferably, that stocks in Alaska. ^_^
She's also a poor water drinker. If anyone has tips on getting her to drink more fluids, I'd appreciate it. |
I'm glad Jenna finally had some success. Gas and constipation can be scary with these little ones.
Some good grain-free kibbles include: Orijen, Acana, Fromm Surf & Turf, Wellness Core, Merrick Before Grain, Petcurean's Go! Endurance formula.
I encouraged my boys to drink more water by making sure their water is always fresh, and I praise them when I see them taking a drink. After experimenting with various sources of water, I learned that they prefer tap water. Some people here have found that a doggy water fountain helps.
Based on my limited experience with my 2 Yorkies, I believe green beans can have different effects on different dogs. For some, the fiber in the beans give bulk to stools which helps express the anal glands and keep them healthy. For others, like my boys, the fiber can cause diarrhea and painful gas. We use sweet baby peas instead. If you decide to add either one to Jenna's diet, use frozen, no added salt brands. Microwave and cool with cold water.
