Default luxating patella

Today Kasha gave Mommy & Daddy a big scare. She missed a jump onto the bed and immediately we noticed her favoring her back right leg. She put no weight on it and though she wasn't crying we knew it was her patella again.

The vet scared us and told us she has a grade 3 ( even though each knee has only slipped once and slips back in on its own) and was talking about it affecting her ACL and causing arthritis and surgery. Scary. For the time being we were recommended to give her glucosamine and omega 3s (which she gets in her food already) but the vet isn't all that hollistic so she wasn't as knowledgeable as I would have liked about supplements vs meds and surgery (which I wont even consider until it happens frequently and shes in pain) So I'm hoping I can get recommendations about brands & doses of glucosamine as well as any other supplements or words of wisdom.

I guess I should also mention that we have steps for the bed and the couch is pretty low but she does love to jump, she's very active and is a baby ... almost 11 months.

Thanks!!
