I agree with Quicksilver in urging caution.
We have a lot of greyhound rescues in our town. While the Italian Greyhound is significantly smaller, there is still a risk. I once walked my Teddy alongside 4 elegant greyhounds who were being guided by a sort of dog whisperer. He was a fascinating character. Later, when I met another set of greyhounds and told their owner about my previous encounter, the woman warned me to never do it again.
