I agree with the advice given above, have your vet take a look at Taycie's eye because it could be a scratched cornea.

Maximo is being treated for an eye ulcer (hole in outer layer that may have started as a small scratch) this week. Scratches and ulcers can be caused by a number things, i.e. a paw to the eye, getting hair or dirt stuck in the eye.

Dogs with scratches or ulcers are very sensitive to light, which causes them to squint. Maximo had very little discharge. I first noticed that the white of his eye was red and irritated. He was a little mellower than usual because he was in tremendous pain.

As Megansmomma wrote, self-medicating is risky. The leftover medication could make things worse and cause your baby more pain. Stick to sterile saline (no fancy eye drops) until you see the vet.
