First off, I would not try to self medicate. Using left over meds it just not wise so please do not continue to do so.
I'm not a vet but it sounds like he might have a scratched cornea which is very painful. Make sure you get him in to your vet first thing tomorrow to be seen and treated. Good luck and keep us posted.
