Ha, well, I don't think Yorkies would survive long if left on their own in Alaska, but the same is probably true anywhere. I've heard of coyotes running off with dogs in urban areas of California, and traffic is a problem just about everywhere. I think Yorkies are as safe as you make them.
And I watch mine like a hawk.
