We too have a security system. It took us getting broke into to get one. In the long run it is well worth it! Also, don't forget to test yours occasionally. We were told to do it about every other month. I am amazed at how quickly our monitoring system will call us. Plus we have a cell backup in case the power goes out. Money well invested for peace of mind.
