LOL -- that was my first thought too! I actually was going to try to keep mine off the backs of the new furniture last time too. They had dented in the tops of my old set and I thought I wanted to keep that from happening. I couldn't do it. They got up there all the time and it was a constant battle of trying to redirect them to another place or activity only to find them back on their "perch" a few minutes later. They were just so confused. You could see it in the way they cocked their little heads at me like -- What's the matter mom, have you lost your mind? We're being good, just sitting where we always sit." Finally, I threw in the towel and I found some nice throws that match perfect. I put them across the backs of the couch and chair and wash them regularly, fluffing up the furniture backs each time.
