Maybe because you fly with them. These are pups we have sold and are shipping to their new homes. We used to be able to fly counter to counter on US Air, then at the end of October, they merged with American (I think that is the name. it might be something else. anyway it's a new name. and we can no longer ship with them because they do not accept live animals of any kind.
The last few we have had to ship Delta Cargo. they also asked for papers. We put shredded newspapers in the bottom of the crate and then have to take the dog out and let them search the newspaper. A few times right after 9/11, they even searched our dogs body cavities. They put a nuzzle on them to do. haven't had anyone do that for a long time.
