I find your post to be full of frustration but also excuses - you two simply don't want to do what is needed for the dog that has become a pain in your butts. Maybe you should turn the dog over to a loving home willing to do the right things by the dog. You're both college educated soon-to-be-professionals that should know better than to mistreat an animal by causing it to have fear and isolation while you two get on with your day. Sad.
