Some people on here have used regular baby play pens. they have posted the pictures but if I were you I would go with the X-Pen. I got a playpen for Ceeby who was eight weeks old at the time he arrived and he had escaped (chewed out) in just three days. So I still haven't purchased a crate or anything but do have him gated off here in the living room. it is such a large area for him and now I feel guilty even thinking of buying a crate but i will when I get my female puppy.
