I got my rescues from out of state. The adoption was paid and considered final before I met them. However, it was with the knowledge that if once we met them I felt it wasn't right I'd be able to say no and the funds would go towards another dog of my choosing whenever I chose. We took our entire pack with us. We went to a large indoor room. The new girls were brought in and we spent considerable time with them. We then brought our kids in one by one, allowing each one to acclimate before we brought in the next, until all of them were in the same room together. Then we spent time with all 6 in the same room walking/running around. Then we knew it was a go. Until that moment we could have called it off. I, too love to dress girls, but you have to remember just because a girl loves clothes now, she may not later, or she could have an off day. Conversely, she may hate clothes now and love them later, so I wouldn't let that be the deal breaker. Good luck whatever your decision.
