Levi totally does this. He follows me everywhere like a little shadow. He doesn't have to be right next to me (right now, I am in a recliner and he is on the sofa), but he does like to keep me in his line of vision. Even when he is at the dog park running around like crazy with his little buddies, he will come check in on me every so often.
He is totally comfortable if I leave as long as he is in my bedroom with the door shut. He spends his alone time in my room when I am in class or at work. I sit him on my bed when I am leaving and he settles down immediately. But if I leave him loose in the apartment and run out to grab something from my car, he barks like crazy until I come back inside. Crazy boy.
