Dentist said it was odd because there was no sign of a cavity or decay, and was probably due to trauma, even years ago. I did get hit in the mouth once during cheerleading--had to have surgery way back then. Darn it...it has come back to haunt me again!

I bet you are feeling much better, though. Abscesses are painful.
