We have three that are just this way! A couple of times I just said "Let's go for a drive" and we did just that....drove around for 30 mins and came back home! You would think that they had just been on a fantastic adventure!

We have two like Jewels....they HATE the car. They don't mind getting out and going places (once we are there, but they want no part of the commute!)
