Sorry it took me so long to reply! I went Christmas shopping all day yesterday.
Thank you for all the lovely compliments. I was really pleased at how good it looked when I got it done. And he was such a good boy and sat so pretty for me to take pictures!
@Rhetts_mama - I used a pattern. If you watch Hancock Fabrics you can get them really reasonable (they had Labor Day sale and the patterns were $1.99 each - I got three different doggie ones) I had to modify it a little as I wanted it longer down his back and the belly straps were too big so I had to make them smaller.
And you are right, the weather is crazy. It was really cold that one week and I was mad I hadn't finished up sewing a coat for him yet and I finally get it done and it is 70 out =/
BTW - He HATED the fire in the fireplace. Completely freaked him out. As if I had opened the gates to hell in the living room and let demonic flame out. Took him four hours to stop barking and growling at it and then he was extremely wary for the next eight. One wrong fire snap and he was at the hearth defending us from the evil unleashed in his realm. |
