I had a rescue back a few years ago, a Boston Terrier who caught ringworm from a kitten we had also rescued. It was nasty, and we had to keep her "quartined" from the rest of the animals, as it is highly contagious. It got better after a trip to the vet to get special shampoo and some sort of rinse.
