Yorkies tend to not shed at all, it's pretty rare to find a shedder as the shedding is usually caused by a double coat... I cant help but question the lineage of the puppy so I wouldn't recommend to your friend getting the puppy, jmo. I would also question purchasing a puppy from a petstore, sure they came from a "breeder" but most, if not all reputable breeders sell from their homes as they care where their puppies are going.
