I'm wondering if this is a common trait with lots of yorkies, or if ours has a particularly huge vocabulary. Lacy must have at least a dozen toys in every room of the house. About twenty of them are her "favorites"-- pink fish, green wheel, orange wheel, blue bone, pink bone, orca, turtle, dino-croc, etc etc. She knows the names of almost every single toy, and can pick one out from a huge pile on command. It's really astounding. If you tell her to get her dino from her toy tray, she will dig around and pull it out. She even has several of the same toy in different colors, and knows the difference. If you tell her to go get something in another room, she'll run across the house and go find where she left it.

So, does your dog know toy names, or is ours just crazy?
