Exceptionally well, though you need to do every other day (on whatever it is they are chewing until they believe it will always taste that way). When I first tried it they'd quit for a day or two and then try it again and of course since I didn't keep up on it, they return to chewing. So every other day for a couple weeks and they'll eventually give up. The bitter apple doesn't evaporate quickly like the other anti-chew stuff...but it's not a one shot deal.
