I would get a Wahl Peanut Trimmer instead. Mary (Mardelin) recommended this a long time ago on here and I bought one. I LOVE it! It makes those trims you mention go smooth as can be! It weighs 4 ounces and is less than 4" long but has all the power of a full sized clipper set. I liked it so well, that I also bought the cordless version a little over a year ago. I like the cordless for ease of use -- I am not as coordinated when I have to deal with the cord. But for continuous big power (and it takes me a long time to do my crew) -- the corded verison is probably best. If I am doing one, I like the cordless. I think the Peanut is going for around $40 but you might find a better deal with one of the ebay dealers that sell new dog grooming products. I bought my cordless on ebay and the corded one at Sally's Beauty Supply.
