I'm guessing here, but it sounds like this could be a case of excitement transfer biting. They can't get to what they want to bite, so out of frustration, they will bite the next closest thing. Hope he didn't break skin. And unhurt your feelings, I don't think he meant to hurt you, I think he may have been more frustrated than anything.
With rescues, many people tend to feel sorry for them, and this does not help. Sometimes they need a person to be firm with them and let them know that certain behaviors are not acceptable. Have you tried any kind of correction with him yet? |
