Natasha
I am so sorry to hear about your Nana. I know how close you are to her.
I can understand what you are going through. Bruce has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, so I really do understand what you are going through.
But - the doctor only thinks your Nana has cancer, so let's wait until you know for sure. Without the right tests etc they cannot be sure. So think positive.
I have been told so many times this last couple of days how medicine has advanced so much.
I am going to share an e-mail I got from a good friend. Maybe you can get something out of it too.
"Hugs, honey - prayers and a pep talk
cancer (never with a capital - gives it importance) is beatable. Look at me - I did it. Find an aggressive doctor. Get the attitude - Bruce has it already as seen by his " I've got 10 more cruises left in me..." you need to have the attitude too. Having cancer is a battle, and Bruce has to wage the best battle he's ever fought. Tell Bruce to tell himself every morning and every night - I am the winner in this!
Oh...never say "Bruce's cancer" or let him say "my cancer"....that gives it ownership. You sure the hell don't want to own it!!!! "
this is a friend who has beaten cancer (think it was breast cancer).
Please let us know how your Nana is doing.
And I am so shocked to hear that Poppy is already 5 months old. It only seems like yesterday we were fighting to keep her alive. Time does go by
