Frozen green beans (slightly thawed) were the answer when Lady was diagnosed with diabetes almost nine years ago and had to lose weight. I would give them to her in a Busy Buddy Twist & Treat after she ate her dinner or she would just bark for more. Putting them in a treat dispensing toy slowed her down enough for her brain to realize she was full.
I give Lady chopped apples, berries, carrots, even chopped celery during the day. I will give her a small piece of cheese (she loves Gouda!) here and there, too. She also loves pieces of rice cakes. | I agree.
