I am not a fan of weight management formulas as they are usually a lesser quality product. I'd rather feed a high quality food in a smaller portion and supplement with high fiber, low calories snacks.

Frozen green beans (slightly thawed) were the answer when Lady was diagnosed with diabetes almost nine years ago and had to lose weight. I would give them to her in a Busy Buddy Twist & Treat after she ate her dinner or she would just bark for more. Putting them in a treat dispensing toy slowed her down enough for her brain to realize she was full.

I give Lady chopped apples, berries, carrots, even chopped celery during the day. I will give her a small piece of cheese (she loves Gouda!) here and there, too. She also loves pieces of rice cakes.
