How experienced is your vet with small dogs under 5 lbs? Ask him or her if you aren't sure.
During the procedure, she should be on an IV. It considerably reduces the trauma of the whole procedure and she will come out of it hydrated etc. It costs a bit more to add that to the bill but well worth it. Especially since you have to fast her before the surgery.
I also have Pedialyte, an electrolye solution you can get in your drug store in the baby section. Make sure it is Pedialyte not Pedisure whcih is something else.
It will help them from getting stomach/bowel upsets that often will follow sedation and surgery.
