Default Why do non-dog people think a yorkie play group is so hilarious?

I encounter many new people everyday, just a part of owning my own business. Most people love Uni and start a conversation about her. many comment on how tiny she is (she's not, she's average 5.5 lbs) and I respond with "You should see some of the ones in her play group. They're like half her size." Instead of being surprised there are yorkies half the size of Uni, they are more surprised she has a playgroup.

Once a husband and wife came in, the wife is a total dog person, the husband not so much. I said the same thing, and he said "Let me guess, everyone in the play group is female and single" Me: I said, "No actually many are married and have kids and the husbands come along as well." Him:

It's more of a gathering for friends to have a potluck and let the furbutts play together and helps them get more socialized. I've been so busy I haven't been to one in a while, but what's so funny about yorkie play groups? Human baby's have play groups too, why not fur kids?
