So am I, but, I should have expected it! She is quite the little trooper. Of course I do know that they hide pain...but she has been really something. Her original surgery on that knee was pretty rough. It was an old injury and the medial trochlear ridge was gone. The surgeon cut the other ridge into two pieces and moved a piece over to the medial side and pinned it to create a new one! Then he deepened the groove. He also had to do some manipulation of the tibia. When all was said and done, she had five pins in that knee! Never so much as a peep out of her! Of course, we were very attentive to pain management. It was a pretty amazing surgery...prior to it, the surgeon was not sure what could be done and even thought he might have to fuse it which was not a really happy kind of option.
