Why no soft food because of the teeth? If your vet was implying that soft food is worse than dry food in causing tooth decay, I respectfully disagree. Food is food, dry or wet, it all can cause tooth decay if teeth aren't cleaned regularly. Chewing kibble doesn't clean the teeth.

Has Chloe always been on Science Diet? Before these problems started, was she a good eater? Have you ever tried another kibble? What are you giving her for soft food? Is she drinking enough water?

Check Chloe's rectum frequently for any dry, stuck fecal matter. Hold a warm wash cloth to her bottom, or try the warm bath I suggested.
