if they are that wiggly then yes i'd have them removed at spay/neuter when they are young. As a groomer I see many different dogs every day and clip dew claws on most of them. Some do have them removed but i'd say the majority of my clients have dew claws (some even have rear dews as well) and the majority of those are secure.
