As long as you can afford the basics such as food, vets and bedding then I dont see how it would make any difference.
Its knowing your priorities which make a good pet owner in my eyes.
You could have someone who was rich but spent all of there money on designer shoes and handbags and nothing on there dog.
Or you could get people who spend everything they (even if its not much) have on their dogs.
If you really care about your dog then you will make sure they are well looked after.
