All my furbabies are getting their teeth cleaned next week. The women doing it removes the tarter while they are awake. We asked our vet if they need antibiotics since they may have some gum bleeding and he said no since none of them have a heart problem. We have heard that some vets give antibiotics to be on the safe side and even the vet tech at our vets office said she thinks it's a good idea. Now I'm really confused.

Now what???? Do you think its safe to have their teeth scaled without giving them antibiotics?
