I, too, thought the IV fluids should be routine with surgery. But it's listed as an option...not sure why. I feel much better now & I think I know what choices I'm going to make. I just need to speak with the vet one more time to decide about the laser surgery.

BTW, Lulu is currently 3lbs 6 oz so I guess I'll be searching for some preemie onesies at WalMart.
I just don't want to have to use the E-collar with her. I hope she doesn't try to lick or scratch her stitches but I want to be prepared in case she does.
