As far as I am concerned it is once a week her, no ifs ands or but on it. Most people I know do it the same way. Also only when they are dirty doesn't cut it, you'd be surprised when you bathed them and they still look pretty decent how filthy the water runs when they start being bathed. Hope this helps.
