No you do not have to wait to have her spayed. I usually recommend between 7 and 8months, closer to 7 months if they are a fairly good size bit older if they are smaller. Watch the teeth though as sometimes I have had them spayed closer to 7 months or between 6 and 7 months if those teeth are crowding and throwing off the bite because of the retained ones. The baby teeth are removed at the time of spay.
