Im in Minnesota and I have been wondering the same thing. This is my little guys first winter and I am just shocked at how much he loves the snow. I bought him a couple of winter jackets. When I went into a local doggy boutique inquiring about boots they told me he would probably hate them and showed me a product called "mushers friend". Its a wax balm you put on the pads of their feet to protect them from the snow, salt, ice and also in the summer for hot pavement. It seems to be working good for me so far.
