I'm not a cold dweller, but I would recommend boots for them for the snowy season, their little paws are so sensitive. Plus if they de-ice the roads with salt that could really hurt them. Make sure you have the right size boot for his paws as well, AllDogBoots has a great website, I'm not sure how she shipping goes for Canada but it might be a great place to start to make sure that you have the right size/type for your needs
I so wish it would snow here, but alas, it's a warmer climate we just get the cold, cloudy, rainy weather here
