Start with Connie's sugar cookie recipe above. (Okay I admit - I started with slice and bake, but you could just as easily buy them already baked!)
TURTLE COOKIES
Sugar Cookies
1 Bag Chocolate morsels
1 Bag Kraft Caramels
1 Bag Pecan Halves
Toast the pecans. Melt the chocolate and the caramels separately. Spoon a dallop of the caramel then a dallop of the chocolate on top of the baked sugar cookie and immediately put pecan half in warm center. Let set until chocolate and caramel harden. |
Hey Sherry...I wish I'd seen this before I frosted all my sugar cookies! Now I'll have to make more!!! They sound so good!
Waistfull...I used to make monster cookies quite often when my kids were little! I'm so glad you posted that because I don't know if I still have the recipe! You are right...people of all ages love them!
Schatzie...your cookies sound so yummy! I wonder where I could get some of those little mints! We no longer have a candy store here. If I can't find any before Christmas, I'll try your recipe later when I've gotten some of those candies!
Yorkieangel...you cracked me up! LOL
Melissa...okay...I'll put the sugar peanuts on here as per your request! LOL
