It is truly amazing what one can find in one's own backyard!
I saw some neighborhood kids throwing chocolate candy in a yard where a dog was out. I found out that they were mad at the child who lived there and had heard that chocolate was poisonous to dogs and had decided to hurt the dog. Discussions with parents followed.
My neighbor insists on giving my dogs whatever! Mostly dog biscuits, but I have found numerous chicken, beef, and pork bones, and leftovers from their dinner. I have asked many times that she stop doing this, and explained that Yorkies have sensitive stomachs and can't handle all the crap she throws over the fence. I've asked her hubby to have a talk with her. She won't stop, so I am in the process of putting up a fence to block my dogs' access to that side of the yard! In the meantime, I have to walk outside and check the yard before I let the dogs outside! |
