Coco was only 1lb 9 oz when I had her spayed and she did fine. She was even a little anemic. I opted for the preop blood work which can tell how the body is going to handle he anesthesia. They also look at how the kidneys are working to make sure they can handle it. I am sure you will do what is best for your baby as you know him better than anyone else.
