What are you teaching? What dept did you work in as an RN? How many years? What did you like the most? Do you still work as an RN?

I teach mostly in the doctoral program in adult health and gerontology
When I worked in the hospital I worked in ICU/CCU
I've been out of school since 1974 and I worked for 4 years fulltime and then started teaching (after I got my masters). I taught and worked parttime in the hospital for another 12 years. Finally, I got my doctorate and I have been teaching and doing research (no hospital work) for the past 12 years. I consider my research with persons with Alzheimer's disease and their family cargivers as my clinical practice.
I absolutely love nursing and can't imagine doing anything else. I liked working in the hospital but I loved having students in the hospital. Now, I love working with my research and the doctoral students and their research projects.
