The tests that are required are suppose to be performed at certain ages. 8 weeks of age is too young especially at his weight. Even puppy shots I would not recommend unless given at 1/2 dose.

But, you should start with a blood panel.

Bile Acids at 16 weeks and 6 months.

CERFs at a minimum of a year

OFA at 2 years of age.

You can have him x-rayed for Leggs Perthes younger as it does rear it's ugly head at about 7 months of age.
