I use the little doggie toothbrushes that fit on your index finger. We've used a lot of different flavors of dog toothbrushes (I think right now we are on peanut butter). It works pretty well for us. Levi doesn't like having his teeth brushed, but he's learned to behave/wiggle around less. I try to brush his teeth twice a week. He has not yet needed a dental.
