I use the doggy toothpaste and toothbrushes that Petsmart carries. They may these toothbrushes that have a small head on one end and they work great for little yorkie mouths. I replace them once every month or so. I've used Petrodex toothpaste in the past and now use one made by Four Paws that smells a bit like vanilla.

I cannot stress enough the benefits of oral hygiene for dogs (and humans too!). Vinnie has had his teeth brushed every night since I adopted him almost 7 years ago. He has never had a tooth removed and has only had his teeth cleaned twice professionally. He has NO tartar on his teeth and his breath is fresh as can be. Considering he's about 8 or 9, that's pretty darn good! Brushing teeth each day costs about $8/month (at most) and saves a TON of money and pain that comes with decayed teeth. It also likely prevents a host of other health problems that come along with bad teeth.
