I have sold and bought stud service many times...I never liked using a male who has been used without a 7 to 10 days break between bitches...over used males tend to produce more males in my experince.

Over using a stud shortens his breeding life...many lose interest long before they should. I found it best to use a male once a month, sometimes twice IF I had two of my bitches in season in a month...then at about 6 to 7 yrs..neuter and give them to a friend as a pet...never had a male returned because he did not make a good pet...almost all stopped marking within 6 to 12 mos...belly bands were needed for that time period...none showed interest in bitches once neutered for about 6 months..

I used a male of mine at 13 yrs of age...he produced 4 girls...in his breeding life I used him about 6 times per year.
