I'm thinking first I'm going to let he see how I handle Harley and then ask what I'm doing wrong. That and Harley is for some reason petrified of his harness, so I definitely want to work on that.

I work with an in home trainer and basically I discussed what bad behaviors my dog had and she taught me techniques to correct those. ie biting, jumping on furniture and people, how to wait at the door once it's open, how to correct barking/whining. She also set up a potty training schedule which includes the times to feed, times to provide water, what time to take puppy out. And then she demonstrates the different commands that she will teach me over the course of the training program. I, in turn, received logs from her and I have to record the date, time spent doing obedience training (sit, come, stay, down, leash training etc) and also a log for pottying, what time the pup peed/poop and where it occurred. It's really about the trainer teaching you, based on the issues you want to resolve. She comes weekly and I tell her what's working and what's not and she revamps the lessons, schedules accordingly. Hope that helps.
