Many dogs are lactose intolerant which is why it is usually advised not to give ice cream to them- we found out the hard way that one of our poodles is severely lactose intolerant- it involved a white down comforter and wasn't pretty
All the others get a little bit sometimes- if it doesn't affect your dog badly whats the harm in a few licks once and awhile?
