My boys are maybe used once a year. Only using them twice on one female with one day inbetween.
Daily, 5 times a week......all the time is a bit excessive...any reputable breeder that I know do not use their studs as you stated above.
Using a dog that for nothing but studding is detremental to the dog's mentality. I have witnessed one such dog used in this manner and the rehabilitation for this dog was extensive. So sad when he was rehomed, they had to put the dog in Agility to keep his mind off of sex. Even after he was nuetered, the mind set was imprinted in his mind.
